The paper looks good, but the intention is anything but. What looked like a check (similar to those used by truck drivers) was used to cheat at least two Hamilton County businesses.
Story highlights:
- A man has entered businesses in Hamilton County with Comdata checks.
- Comdata checks are usually used by truckers, and is more like a voucher than a check.
- This man's Comdata checks got him the cash, but bounced when businesses tried to cash them on their end.
- The man walked away with money that wasn’t his, and never returned for his order.
