INDIANAPOLIS -- Several people are in custody following ATF raids that were conducted across Indianapolis Thursday.
The raids were conducted as part of an ongoing operation led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with help from Metro Police and a number of other local police agencies.
The task force targeted a number of homes on the west and northwest sides of Indianapolis.

The operation began early Thursday morning. According to a source, the task force had arrest warrants for as many as 19 people, although it is possible that several other people were taken into custody.
The raids were targeting people tied to the city's violent crime, and firearms and narcotics.
