INDIANAPOLIS — Authorities are looking for the person responsible for setting fire to a north side Indianapolis home this past Saturday.
They hope security video from the scene may lead to an arrest. Home video shows flames on the rear deck of the home on East 91st Street. Security camera images show a possible suspect outside the home.
Family dogs awakened the residents of the home. The husband and wife and their pets were not hurt. According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, the fire spread quickly across the wooden deck, fueled by a large amount of split fireplace wood.
The fire department ruled the fire intentionally set. The couple told investigators they had no idea who might be responsible for setting the fire, but they did note some recent vandalism in the neighborhood.
