Ball State University became the fourth college in the state to have a sexual assault reported since classes began a few weeks ago.

BSU campus police said the sexual assault was reported in a dorm.

Student Camille Scurlock said it was difficult news to hear about on campus.

"Honestly, it's kind of tough hearing that something like this is happening so close," Scurlock said. "Just in a dorm. I mean, we're all living in dorms and knowing that this is happening to students around me is kind of scary."

Purdue, IU and Notre Dame police are all also investigating reports of sexual assault on campus.

Before the assault, BSU's student government had already donated $500 to help fund programs to teach students how to reduce their chances of being the victim of or accused of a sexual assault.
