BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. -- A 22-year-old man from Salem is accused of sexual misconduct with a 14-year-old girl he met online.
Ryan Andrew Allen was arrested Tuesday morning after a joint investigation between Indiana State Police and the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.
The investigation began after the parents of a 14-year-old girl filed a complaint after she went missing on February 10 and then returned home on February 11.
The parents told police their daughter had run away from home after she and Allen made arrangements to meet up over Facebook.
State police say Allen took the girl to Salem, spent the night with her, and took her home the next day. Police say Allen knew the girl was only 14 years old.
Allen is charged with two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.
