BEECH GROVE -- Beech Grove will begin work soon on one doozy of a roundabout.

Construction starts on April 27 and will last up to 90-days, according the Mayor Dennis Buckley.

This is being called an "industrial roundabout," and it will link two intersections into one.

The intersections of Arlington Avenue and Churchman Bypass will link up with the intersection of Arlington and Big Four Road to form a large roundabout.

It's a $1.7 million project designed to improve traffic flow in the area which is east of downtown Beech Grove, near the Amtrak yards and many industrial facilities.

Mayor Buckley said the project is funded by the Indiana Department of Transportation and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Commission.
