Bicyclist critical after being struck by vehicle on Indy's southwest side

INDIANAPOLIS — A bicyclist is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Indianapolis' southwest side early Tuesday morning.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of S. Harding Street and W. Raymond Avenue just after 6 a.m. for a report of a crash with injuries. Officers arrived on the scene to find that a truck had struck a bicyclist.

The bicyclist was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say the truck driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No foul play is suspected at this time.
