Body found near creek on Indy's south side identified as missing woman

INDIANAPOLIS -- A body found near a creek on Indianapolis' south side on Thursday has been identified as a woman who has been missing since last week. 

Two young kids found the body near a creek off the 1800 block of Cruft Street. 

On Friday, the Marion County Coroner identified the body as Tanya Ragsdale, 40, who has been missing since June 16. 

Ragsdale's cause of death has not been released and police are not saying at this time whether they are identifying her death as a crime. 

The death remains under investigation by the Marion County Coroner.
