Izabella-Marie A. Helem, 4, was being cared for by her grandmother and Marberry, the grandmother's ex-husband, at a home in the 300 block of North Park Street when her younger brother found a gun and shot her.
Police say Marberry had been staying at the residence on the couch and had left a handgun under the couch the morning of the shooting.
Izabella was shot one time and taken to Riley Hospital for Children where she later died.
Marberry was arrested on a warrant and is charged with neglect of a dependent. He is currently awaiting extradition back to Boone County.
