INDIANAPOLIS -- Republican House Speaker Brian Bosma says comments made by Gov. Mike Pence during his State of the State address could make expanding civil rights protections to LGBT Hoosiers more difficult.
"He set the ground rules," Bosma said. "I think it does make passage more difficult, because I'm not sure there is a solution on the table that meets the requirements that the governor indicated he was looking for."

Bosma says the governor has been part of the conversation among legislative leaders on the topic weekly.
Republican Senate President David Long has indicated both of the bills to expand the state's civil rights laws will be discussed later this month.
