HANCOCK COUNTY — A Central Indiana couple had a dream to make sure parents have a safe setting to provide their children with clothing.

Kip and Stacy Bancroft opened Stacy's Sharing Closet in 2019 in four Southern Hancock County Community School buildings to help provide kids with new or gently used clothing.

Stacy has been an educator for 28 years and says she saw the need.

"It's hard enough to ask for help, but when you come to a place like this, you can maintain your dignity and you can choose the things you want to choose," Stacy said.

There is no limit on the number of times kids can visit or the amount of items they can have.

If a kid needs something they don't have, they can purchase items with donations from the community.

Kip and Stacy are working to open another location at Knightstown Intermediate School.
