INDIANAPOLIS -- A man died and two others were hurt in a shooting on the west side of Indianapolis overnight.
Police say officers were called to the Checkered Flag Tavern on West Morris Street just after midnight, where they found a man who had been shot in the neck. Kevin Wells, 45, was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition.
A short time later in the parking lot, police found Daniel Smith, 36 of Indianapolis, who was later pronounced dead at the scene. A third shooting victim, 33-year-old Dustin Bourne, was later found at a home on South Whitcomb. He had been shot in the leg and was taken to Eskenazi Hospital.
IMPD Sgt. Kendale Adams says police are not looking for any other suspects and believe the gunfire stemmed from an argument between the men. Adams says charges are pending.
