BROWNSBURG, Ind. -- A Brownsburg man was charged Sunday with the murder of his brother.

Police say Justin Brabson, 29, was arrested at a Crawfordsville hotel after police received a tip about his whereabouts.

Justin was confronted by police in the hotel. According to court documents, when an officer approached him and asked him what his name was, Justin put one hand up and said, "You got me." Justin didn't show any emotion when asked about his brother.

His brother, 30-year-old Christopher, was shot and killed last Thursday night in the 7000 block of Meadow Trail.

The two lived in the same apartment.

During the investigation, a neighbor told police the two brothers fought often.

Justin Brabson's vehicle was seen leaving the apartment complex at a high rate of speed.

Police found Justin's car Friday afternoon near I-74 in Montgomery County. The vehicle had no evidence it had been hot wired.

Justin's mother talked to police during the investigation, who told them Justin was "not well" mentally, and that he was frustrated with his financial situation.

Justin could get up to 65 years in prison if convicted, but prosecutors are seeking a firearms enhancement which could carry a longer sentence.

He's being held in the Hendricks County Jail.
