Apartment complex burglaries raise questions

Apartment complex burglaries raise questions
Posted

INDIANAPOLIS -- People living at a northside apartment complex want to know who is responsible for several break-ins.

The company that manages the complex and IMPD have had two similar reports of burglaries at Chelsea Village.

According to police reports, there was no sign of forced entry in either case and maintenance staff had visited both apartments days before the burglaries.

"Who robs you and locks the door on the way out? Who only takes two items and locks the door on the way out?" said Alyssa Rodriguez, burglary victim.

Gene B. Glick Company, which manages Chelsea Village, released this statement:

The Gene B. Glick company has been made aware of the accusations, and we thank our residents for bringing forward a matter of great concern. In addition to assisting the police investigation in any way possible, we have been conducting our own internal investigation to determine whether employees were involved in any criminal activity at Chelsea Village. If it is determined to be so, they will face immediate termination and prosecution to the full extent of the law. The Glick Company carefully screens employees, including a criminal background check, and takes pride in hiring only the highest caliber employees who are dedicated to promoting the safety and welfare of our communities.
