INDIANAPOLIS — Tuesday marked one year since someone killed a 35-year-old woman on the east side.

There are still no arrests in the Monica Pirtle case.

Loved ones held a vigil and released balloons in her honor tonight on Crabtree Court near 38th Street and German Church Road.

Police and family members are calling on the community to come forward with information.

“Honestly come forward to give our family closure,” Javiona Pirtle, Monica’s daughter, said. “That's all we ask is for closure. We don't ask for anything else we're not asking for an apology or anything we're just asking for closure"
