INDIANAPOLIS -- If you've ever been peeved at your cell phone service cutting out, you're not alone.
It's one of the more frustrating things about living in our society today.

Thankfully, it seems like Indy is the place to be to avoid those kinds of annoyances.
RootMetrics, the independent ranking and testing firm for cell services, released its report for the first half of 2016 of the cities with the best cell coverage.
Indianapolis comes in at No. 2.

The Circle City received an overall score of 98.2, just 0.3 points away from the No. 1 spot, Lansing, Mich.
RootMetrics (you may know the company from those rolling balls in the cell companies' commercials) used five factors to determine its rankings:
- Reliability
- Speed
- Data
- Call
- Text
The rest of the top 5 are Atlanta, Milwaukee, Wis., and Chicago.

A strong performer in past reliability rankings, Indianapolis continued to impress. Thanks to continuously excellent rates of getting connected and staying connected to the network with all four carriers, as well as AT&T's repeat performance of a perfect 100.0 Reliability RootScore, Indiana’s capital city has now climbed from #7 to #2 in reliability.
