INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was killed and another injured late Wednesday night in a one-car collision with a utility pole.
The crash happened around 11:20 p.m. near the intersection of 26th Street and Sherman Drive.
Police said a man and a woman were inside the car when it struck a utility pole for unknown reasons.
The driver, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, 22-year-old Devante Conner, was taken to Eskenazi Health in serious condition.
Investigators did not find signs that alcohol was a contributing factor.
