CARMEL — A Carmel family is suing a major maker of electronic cigarettes.
The lawsuit accused Juul Labs, Inc. of making e-cigarettes that contain excessive amounts of nicotine without warning they are addictive.
The family filed the federal lawsuit last month in Indianapolis.
Juul says the lawsuit is without merit.
The case comes as federal and state health officials investigate a nationwide outbreak of severe lung illnesses linked to vaping.
