INDIANAPOLIS — Someone will have a new home soon, thanks to the Carrier plant in Indianapolis.

Tuesday, Carrier employees began building their 21st Habitat for Humanity Home.

The company's workers have built a habitat home every year since 1998, and q Carrier Vice President says it's one way they enjoy giving back.

"It's so important to be able to provide somebody a home," David Meyers, VP of Sales and Distribution, said. "And everyone can relate to that ... part of the culture of our company, and to be able to provide somebody a home is very important to us."

Since 1995, Carrier has donated the heating and cooling equipment for every home built by the Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity Chapter.
