INDIANAPOLIS -- You may not be starting your Christmas shopping just yet, but retailers are already putting out the call for holiday workers.
Castleton Square Mall is hosting a job fair Thursday to help fill at least 200 seasonal positions. The job fair will feature over 20 retailers looking for employees to work in their stores during the holiday season and possibly beyond.
Some of the retailers that will be hiring are: Macy's, JCPenny, Forever 21, H&M, American Girl, Victoria's Secret/PINK and Hollister.
The job candidates are plentiful, but will there be enough customers this holiday season to justify all of the hiring?
The director of marketing at Castleton Square Mall, Leslie Featherson is optimistic.
"We're back, it's a strong market, Castleton is one of the biggest malls in Indiana," she said. "We have a lot of traffic that comes through the holiday season."
The job fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Retailers will be looking for full and part-time employees for both retail and food service. Candidates are asked to bring resumes or copies of their work history and dress to impress.
Tables will be set up outside the participating stores.
