INDIANAPOLIS -- A porch pirate was caught on video brazenly stealing a package off the porch of a home on Indianapolis' north side on Friday.
The owner of the home, Mike Lafollette, says his surveillance camera caught the theft around 4:30 p.m. at his home on Winthrop Avenue.
In the video, you can see the thief back-up to scope out the home before jumping out and running up to grab the package and then back to the car.
"It's just infuriating. They're actually in a nicer car than I have and they're going around stealing packages off my porch," said Lafollette. "There's no reason that should be happening. That's just aggravating."
Lafollette says the thieves got away with a pair of men's sandals and a vase decorated with lips.
