CARMEL, Ind. -- Despite a chance for rain, Central Indiana turned out in droves Monday to celebrate the 4th of July.
In Carmel, the annual Carmelfest celebration was in full swing. Page Nikolov was among those in attendance. She said all she could have asked for was a little more sun.
"When the sun's out, the fun's out," she said.
Brian Ferreria, a transplant from Miami, says he's found a great place in the Midwest to raise his son and daughter, and to celebrate America's history.
"All of our troops and everybody that makes it possible for us to, you know, be safe and keep America what it is, and the history of America and the history of baseball that brings us together," Ferreria.
