KOKOMO — Changes are coming to a major development in Kokomo.
The city said a developer has taken over a project that includes a six-story Hilton Garden Inn. Kokomo officials said the developer will build a public rooftop space on top of the hotel.
In addition, the city said they will make sure the appearance of the conference center will tie directly to Kokomo's industrial history.
Modifications to the design mean there will be a larger space for the Kokomo Automotive Museum, and the city will build a four-level public parking garage with about 180 spaces.
Construction will start this fall and should be complete by spring of 2021.
