INDIANAPOLIS — In a year in which so many traditional events have been canceled due to the pandemic, it's good to know there will be Christmas at the Zoo this year.
Festivities at the Indianapolis Zoo open November 21 and run through December 39, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Times are 5-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Sunday, and 5-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
More information is available at: Christmas at the Zoo [indianapoliszoo.com] Reservations are required for pre-timed entry tickets and masks must be worn inside the zoo.
The zoo announced Monday that it has earned its sixth straight nomination for USA Today's 10 Best Zoo Lights list. When it started in 1967, Christmas at the Zoo was the first zoo lights event in the nation.
