Republican mayoral candidate Chuck Brewer unveiled his economic development proposals Wednesday with a hyper-local theme.
Brewer laid out his plan around the trifecta of "Live Indy, Buy Indy, Hire Indy."
His plan, he said, would strengthen neighborhoods and include the development of an online database of Indianapolis suppliers, as well as encourage a 10 percent increase in spending by major business with local suppliers.
Brewer also said he believes the city should increase its investment in the convention business, although he did not attach a dollar figure to that.
