CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. -- A Clinton County teen is dead after falling out of the back of a moving pickup truck.
Deputies were called to the 5900 block of Country Road 700 South around 9:40 p.m. for a report of a person ejected from a vehicle.
When they arrived on the scene they found a 13-year-old male lying next to a 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner. No one else was injured.
According to Major Joe Mink, the teen was riding in the rear of the truck when he fell out and hit the roadway.
The 19-year-old driver of the truck was taken in for a blood draw to be tested for drugs and alcohol.
The case will be handed over to the Clinton County Prosecutor's office to determine any possible charges.
