INDIANAPOLIS — Construction will continue this weekend on Interstates 65 and 70, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced Wednesday.
According to a release from INDOT, sections of the two highways will be closed from Friday through early Monday morning.
At 9 a.m. Friday, I-65 northbound will close from I-465 to the I-70 south split,.
At 9 p.m. Friday, I-65 northbound will close from the south split to the north split and I-70 westbound will close from the south split to Belmont Avenue.
All sections will reopen at 6 a.m. Monday.
INDOT encouraged drivers to take I-465 west to I-70 east if they need to get downtown. The last exit available to access downtown streets on I-70 east will be the Illinois Street/Meridian Street exist at mile marker 79B.
To reach I-65 north, drivers should take I-465 west back up to I-65 north.
