Comcast customers across the country experienced a disruption in service Monday.
A Comcast outage report website said thousands of people were experiencing problems.
A public relations director in Indianapolis confirmed the problems in a statement to RTV6:
“We’re continuing to investigate what appears to be a temporary network interruption that impacted some of our services this morning. Our engineers have been working on this and services are starting to be restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers.”
An outage map showed areas are affected across Indiana, and the United States.
Other U.S. cities impacted include New York, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Nashville, Philadelphia, Denver and Minneapolis.
Comcast's customer support Twitter account said as of 2 p.m. most of the outages were fixed.
“We have repaired the temporary network interruption that impacted some of our services this morning. Our engineers continue to work on this issue and almost all services have already been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers.”
