INDIANAPOLIS -- Community Hospital North has voluntarily suspended the use of six of its operating rooms so they can conduct air quality testing.

The rooms were closed after the Joint Commission identified a potential issue at the hospital related to discoloration on the ceiling tiles and walls in the operating room corridor, according to a release sent out on Monday.

"Community is committed to ensuring the safety of our patients and their families, our employees and our physicians," the hospital said in the statement.

The use of those rooms will remain suspended until tests can confirm that there are no safety issues. The company has not said how long they expect that testing to take.
