INDIANAPOLIS – The Broad Ripple Bark Park will look a little different in the near future because of $15,000 donated to the City of Indianapolis for park improvements.

Purina made the donation after the Broad Ripple Bark Park was listed one of the finalists in the Beneful Dream Dog Park promotion.

Although the park did not win, because of the response from the Indianapolis community, the company decided to gift the park with improvements.

A company spokesperson released this statement Monday evening:

The city of Indianapolis, in particular, caught our attention thanks to their enthusiasm and energy for rallying their dog loving community together for this effort. We’ve been so moved by the dedication displayed by the community of Indy, we’re actually going to gift the city of Indianapolis with a $15,000 donation to go toward improvements at Broad Ripple Dog Park, to help enhance a space where Indy dogs and owners spend memorable time together. We’re working with the City of Indianapolis on that donation now.
