MARTINSVILLE, Ind. -- One person was killed on a construction site in Martinsville Wednesday morning.
Indianapolis Power & Light confirmed the fatality and said it was a contractor of the new combined-cycle gas turbine power station.
A Morgan County dispatcher said the person was pinned between a trailer and a truck.
State officials say an inspection was conducted at the IPL Eagle Valley facility in 2014 and there were no safety violations.
The person who was killed worked for Chicago Bridge & Iron.
A safety inspection at CBI in Martinsville in 2003 resulted in no violations.
