A convicted drug dealer linked to a potentially deadly designer drug pleaded guilty to new charges this week.
Zachary Catron's rap sheet includes a long list of drug cases in Marion and Johnson counties, including a 2014 case in which a Center Grove teen died of an overdose after Catron sold him the synthetic drug known as 25I-NBOMe ("N-bomb").

On Tuesday, Catron pleaded guilty to the last of his pending charges – three counts of dealing narcotics. The proceedings brought to surface old wounds for Jeanine Motsay, who knows Catron from another case.
In May 2014, Motsay's teenage son Sam died from overdosing on the synthetic drug N-bomb, sold to him by Catron.
Catron pleaded guilty after police raided his Indianapolis home.
Since then, Motsay has started the non-profit group Sam's Watch. She now dedicates her time and efforts to warning youth and other parents about the dangers of synthetic drugs.
A scheduling hearing for Catron was set for October.
