INDIANAPOLIS – An Indianapolis man was arrested Thursday on murder charges stemming from the death of his 4-month-old son in December.
Jonathan Jorgensen died just three days before Christmas 2015.
His was one of 144 homicides that made 2015 the deadliest year recorded in Indianapolis history.

The Marion County Coroner's Office said this week Jorgensen's death had officially been ruled a homicide. An autopsy showed the infant died of blunt force trauma to the head.
On Thursday, Jorgensen's father, Aaron, was arrested on charges of murder, battery with death of a person less than 14, and neglect of a dependent resulting in death.
Jorgensen was being held at the Marion County Arrestee Processing Center.
