LAWRENCE—A 17-year-old murder victim was shot 11 times inside a Penn Station sub shop on Pendleton Pike in Lawrence, last Saturday.

That's the conclusion of an autopsy on 17-year-old Connor Turner by the Marion County Coroner's office. Autopsy findings and additional information about the incident are contained in a probable cause affidavit released Thursday by the prosecutor.

The suspect, 18-year-old Jaylen Ryle, is officially charged with murder. Lawrence police arrested him outside the Penn Station, where he claimed two people had threatened to kill him.

Surveillance video reviewed by investigators shows Turner and Ryle inside the sub shop at about 5:30 p.m. last Saturday. According to the probable cause, "At 5:38 p.m. Jaylen Ryle pulls out a handgun from the right side of his waistline and fires multiple shots at Connor Turner from a very close distance." The video shows the suspect and victim "exchanging words" just before the shooting. A witness also told police Ryle and Turner got into a "verbal argument" prior to the shooting.

Investigators said the video shows no "physical confrontation between Connor Turner and Jaylen Ryle prior to the gunshots."

A total of 11 spent shell casings were found inside the Penn Station.
