INDIANAPOLIS -- Snow created quite a mess on city and state roads Wednesday morning.
The Department of Public Works activated the @IndySnowForce at 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Road crews will continue to clear and treat Indianapolis streets throughout the day and into the evening.
ISP Indianapolis reported 129 crashes, 26 slide-offs and 24 motorist assists between 2 a.m. Tuesday and noon Wednesday.

Anderson activated its Snow Task Force because the city received three inches of snow.
Officials there say they are working to clear main roads and side streets as quickly as they can.
In Fishers, snow plows were out at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday clearing primary roads, secondary roads and HSE schools.
Crews will remain active throughout the day clearing and plowing subdivisions and cul-de-sacs.
Statewide, INDOT had more than 800 trucks out at 9:30 a.m.
INDOT road crews will be out plowing, treating and cleaning up all day.
