AVON — Two people were killed in a shooting in Avon on Thursday night.
According to the Avon Police Department, officers responded to a shooting scene on Glensford Drive in Park Place.
Upon arrival, officers located two victims at the scene suffering from gunshot injuries.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the second was transported to a local hospital. In an update Friday morning, Avon Police confirmed the second person had died.
The two deceased were identified as 20-year-old Patrick Day of Avon and 20-year-old Samual Oliver of Plainfield.
According to police, preliminary information led them to understand the two were shot during an exchange of gunfire following a drug-related robbery.
