INDIANAPOLIS — Police are responding to a shooting on the northwest side of Indianapolis that left one person in critical condition Tuesday night.
According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 5500 block of W. 43rd St. on a report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, police located an adult victim with gunshot injuries.
The victim was reported to be in critical condition.
Police said the victim was shot numerous times and went into surgery.
There are no witnesses or suspects in custody at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.
