INDIANAPOLIS — One person is dead after a shooting early Monday at a northeast side apartment complex.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the Stonybrook Commons Apartments, near the intersection of East 30th Street and German Church Road, around 2 a.m.
Police found one person, identified as 25-year-old Derell Brown, suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot. Medics transported Brown to an area hospital in critical condition, but later died.
Police have not released information about what led to the shooting.
