INDIANAPOLIS — A man is dead weeks after being shot on the far east side of Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, on April; 22, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 200 block of S. German Church Road around 2 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a victim with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
The victim was in critical condition, police said.
On Wednesday, May 27, the victim died at a rehabilitation center due to trauma and the gunshot wound, police said.
Homicide detectives have now taken over the investigation.
