16-year-old-injured in Kokomo drive-by shooting

KOKOMO — Police arrested a 19-year-old man Wednesday evening following a shooting that wounded a teenager.

According to information provided by the Kokomo Police Department, officers found a 16-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was treated and released from St. Vincent Hospital-Kokomo.

He reported he was walking in the area of Monroe and Purdum Streets when a silver vehicle passed and gunshots were fired.

The suspect was taken into custody and is being investigated for attempted murder, attempted aggravated battery and criminal recklessness.
