GREENWOOD — A 19-year-old man is dead after a shooting outside a Greenwood apartment complex early Friday morning.
Greenwood Police Department officers were called to the Honey Creek Apartments in the 1600 block of Honey Lane just before 2 a.m. for a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived they found a 19-year-old man shot to death outside the apartments. The victim has been identified as Erion Dae Quan Mitchell, 19, of Greenwood.
Police said Mitchell lived at the apartment complex with other familiy members. Investigators said there is no indication the shooting was a random act of violence.
Police are still searching for a shooter but they do not have any suspect information at this time.
