Two 17-year-olds dead following shooting on Indy's north side

INDIANAPOLIS — INDIANAPOLIS — Two juveniles are dead following a shooting on the north side of Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon, police said.

According to IMPD, officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Central Avenue at around 3:19 p.m.

Officers at the scene located two victims, identified as juvenile males. IEMS transported the victims to a local hospital in critical condition.

One of the juveniles succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The Marion County Coroner has identified him as 17-year-old Yonah Ben Jeffers-Telfair.

Days later, the second juvenile victim also died at the hospital. He was identified as 17-year-old Jontavion Davis.
