200 vials of marijuana/hash oil found after driver pulled over for using high-beams in Putnam Co

PUTNAM COUNTY — Dozens of vials of marijuana/hash oil were confiscated during a traffic stop in Putnam County on Wednesday.

Indiana State Police say a trooper pulled over the driver after he failed to dim his headlights while passing in the opposite lane.

While talking to the 22-year-old driver, the trooper could smell what he believed was burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle and he was given consent to search.

During the search, the trooper discovered 200 vials of marijuana/hash oil in a tote in the back seat.

ISP says the man was traveling from Indianapolis to Terre Haute.

He faces the following charges:

  • Dealing Marijuana/Hash Oil Class A
  • Dealing Marijuana/Hash Oil Class C
  • Possession of Marijuana Class B
