MUNCIE — A 29-year-old man is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old and texting the child inappropriate photos of himself.

The Muncie Police Department was called on January 11 after the 12-year-old's mother found out the child was engaging in a sexual relationship with the older man.

Investigators discovered nude photographs of the 29-year-old on the juvenile's phone along with conversations that were sexual in nature about the older man's fantasies involving medical apparel. At the time, police say the man was employed at a nursing home.

The child told police that they were in a relationship with the 29-year-old and police say the man admitted to being in a "romantic relationship" with the child. The man said the two had "romantically kissed" at least twice at his place of employment and that during that kiss they also had inappropriate physical contact.

The man also told police that he had video chatted with the child while he was in the shower.

Police arrested the man on January 16 and charged with three counts of child molestation, disseminating matter harmful to a minor and inappropriate communication with a child.

The case remains under investigation.
