LAWRENCE — A child was shot in the wrist Friday afternoon near Lawrence.
Lawrence Police officers were called to the 11600 block of Glenn Abbey Lane on reports of a person shot just before 3 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a 5-year-old suffering from a gunshot injury to their wrist. The child was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
The events leading up to the shooting are still under investigation.
