7 arrested in drug bust at Lafayette home

LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- A narcotics investigation at a Lafayette home resulted in seven arrested Tuesday and the seizure of nearly 12 grams of methamphetamine, along with cocaine and a handgun.

Lafayette police said multiple community complaints about drug activity led them to a home in the 900 block of North 8th Street.

Police executed a search warrant for the residence, whereupon they allegedly found 11.76 grams of meth, 2.71 grams of cocaine and a handgun.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested seven people on an array of charges:

  • Brian Phillips, 48 – Possession and dealing of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia
  • Rhonda Head, 44 – Possession and dealing of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia
  • Adam Martin, 26 – Possession and dealing in methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number and visiting a common nuisance
  • Anthony Wooten, 28 – Maintaining a common nuisance, possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia
  • Ryan Cunningham, 26 – Visiting a common nuisance
  • Dakota Thompson, 21 – Visiting a common nuisance
  • Zachary Ireland, 35 – Possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of cocaine

Police credited community tips for the arrests and urged anyone with information about this case or other crimes to contact the Lafayette Police Department or the We-Tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.
