INDIANAPOLIS — An 18-year-old Indianapolis man has been arrested and charged with murder stemming from the shooting death of another teen on the city's north side in April.
According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 3200 block of North Ruckle Street just after 9:30 a.m. April 1 to check the welfare of a person in a vacant residence. When officers arrived, they found a male deceased inside the residence. The individual was later identified as Gerald Beamon Jr., 18.
An autopsy determined the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds to the body and the death was ruled a homicide.
IMPD homicide detectives on Wednesday arrested Ron-Ricco Duncan, 18, in connection with Beamon's death.
According to court records, Duncan has been charged in Marion Superior Court with murder and armed robbery.
