INDIANAPOLIS — One person has been arrested stemming from the Dec. 4 death of an Indianapolis man.
According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers wiht the IMPD Violent Crimes unit on Wednesday arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with the Dec. 4 death of 61-year-old James Foy.
Foy was found dead inside a residence in the 3300 block of Boulevard Place after police were called to conduct a welfare check around 4 a.m. Dec. 4. Officers could see a man down when they arrived, made entry into the residence and requested medics. Foy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said homicide detectives began an investigation and canvassed the area for witnesses. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist with identifying the collecting potential forensic evidence.
The suspect is being held on suspicion of murder. Formal charges have not been filed.
Foy's cause of death has not been released by investigators.
