18-year-old critical after shooting in Avon

AVON, Ind. -- An 18-year-old man is in critical condition after he being shot and a woman and teen were arrested in connection with the shooting. 

The shooting happened in the 100 block of Avon Village Drive just after 11 p.m. Saturday. 

When they arrived they found the 18-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to Methodist Hospital in critical condition. 

Witnesses on the scene led police to a vehicle with Kelsi Glass, 19, and a 14-year-old juvenile. 

Both were arrested in connection with the shooting.

Police believe the shooting was a drug related incident and no official charges have been filed at this time. 

The shooting remains under investigation by the Hendricks County Sheriff's Office.
