INDIANAPOLIS — Neighbors say a vehicle that crashed through an apartment wall early Monday morning narrowly missed a woman who was sleeping in the next room.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the scene at the Maison Gardens Apartments near 42nd Street and Post Road around 3 a.m. for a report of a crash.
Arriving crews found a giant hole in a brick apartment building leading into someone's living room, but no vehicle in sight.
Witnesses told police that someone smashed through the apartment, backed out and then fled the scene.
Police witnesses gave them a vague description of the possible hit-and-run vehicle, but they aren't releasing one at this time.
